Job Description/Responsibilities:  The Children’s Services Department is looking for a Programming Assistant to collaborate with department managers and librarians to create and implement a variety of programs and events for our diverse community! If you enjoy being innovative, as well as providing excellent customer service, this may be the position for you!  You will use your customer service skills as you provide reference services and readers advisory at the service desk. The position provides an opportunity to connect with patrons to assist with the use of library catalog, computers, and other technology equipment as well! Your creative side will be a great asset in developing programs along with timely and relevant displays! Join our fun, passionate, and growing team!

Qualifications:  Customer service and programming experience; ability to perform general internet and database searches; knowledge of “Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library” model; ability to obtain a LC6 certification.

Salary:  $18.21 – $20.49 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours per week, including some night and weekends
