An outstanding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, customer service driven librarian to provide services and information to a variety of clientele in a busy library environment and at outreach opportunities. The selected candidate will assist in developing and implementing innovative services and programs to enable the library to respond to the community’s changing needs. If selected, you will assist customers of all ages by providing direct customer service in reference, reader’s advisory and circulation functions, as well as guiding customers on the use of a wide array of library resources and technologies to create positive user experiences.
Requirements for this position include an ALA/MLS degree, excellent computer expertise, online searching experience, and strong interpersonal and written communications skills. This full-time vacancy requires some evening and weekend hours. Starting salary is $19.50 per hour with an excellent employee benefit package including paid vacation, sick and personal leave.
