Description/Responsibilities: Are you a librarian that is enthusiastic, creative, and that has a passion for working with Children? If so, you may be a great addition to our Children’s Services Department! The Anderson Public Library is seeking a dynamic Children’s Services Librarian to join our team to serve our diverse community! As the Children’s Services Librarian you will focus on meeting the needs of library customers by preparing and presenting children’s programming inside the library, as well as participating in opportunities to provide library services and programming at offsite community locations. Additionally, you will provide engaging customer service and reader’s advisory to visitors in the Children’s Department and at offsite events. You will also have the ability to hone in on your creative skills as you create current, timely, and relevant departmental displays! Qualifications: Master of Library Science degree from ALA accredited school; ability to obtain certification from Indiana State Library; public library children’s services work experience preferred; customer service and public speaking skills; experience developing and conducting programming activities, knowledge of “Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library” model.
Salary: $20.39 – $22.94 per hour; excellent benefits package
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evening and weekend shifts
