Under the direction of the Youth Services Manager, the Youth Services Coordinator plans and coordinates system-wide children’s programs, youth services initiatives, trainings, programs, and events for all ACPL locations. This position reports on system-wide activities, programs and services and facilitates cohort training for new ACPL youth staff focusing on youth services best practices including early literacy, youth development, programming, readers’ advisory, reference, community outreach and children’s spaces.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week exempt position.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience OR
• Master’s Degree in Library Sciences or an equivalent degree in a relevant field (Science, Education, etc.) AND one year of professional youth experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Indiana State Library Certification (LC-5 obtained within three years of hire date)

Compensation & Benefits

• Expecting to hire between $48k – $55k per year depending on experience
