The Mooresville Public Library is seeking a full-time Youth Services Programmer. The person in this position will be responsible for planning, preparing, and conducting programs. He or she will assist the Director of Youth Services in administrative duties related to the operation of the Youth Services department. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position, including evenings and weekends. This position also includes traveling to area schools, businesses, professional meetings, workshops, or other activities.
Qualifications: Librarian Certificate 6 (LC6) or higher. High school or diploma or equivalent. Prefer MLIS or currently enrolled in MLIS program. Experience with children’s programming. Public library experience preferred.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings and Saturday Shifts.
Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 12:00 PM- 8:00 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30-5:00 PM (OFF when working Saturday)
Saturday: 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of the month 8:30 PM-4:00 PM
Compensation: $12.24-$14.05 per hour ($25,459.20-$29,224, annually)
