POSITION: Circulation Supervisor
SUPERVISOR: Library Manager

SUPERVISES: Team of 7 to 8 total (mix of PT & FT)
LOCATION: Kennedy Library (1700 W McGalliard Rd, Muncie, IN 47304)
JOB TYPE: Full-time, exempt (40 hours/week)
SALARY: Starting at $40,976 annually

POSITION PURPOSE
To effectively manage and supervise the Circulation department at a branch and work with other MPL Circulation Supervisors to provide identical circulation operation and guidance system-wide.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform these functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Hire, supervise, schedule, train, delegate, coach, and appraise staff
- Collaborate with other MPL Circulation Supervisors in developing system-wide circulation policies and procedures utilizing the ILS system
- Responsible for analyzing work flow and processes, producing and interpreting ILS reports, and participating in committees
- Responsible for all aspects of circulation and shelf management at designated branch library
- Responsible for accurate and efficient record keeping of circulation data (i.e. library customer records, ILS accounts and registration forms)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Ability to obtain an LC4 or higher library certification (IAC 5-1-8)
- 3+ years of related library experience
Preferred:
- Supervisor experience
