ISL Approved Training Providers
(aka the “Blanket” Approval List)
The organizations listed below offer programs that are already approved for LEUs. Most of the organizations have blanket LEU approval, which means they don’t need to apply for ISL approval of individual programs. Any webinars, workshops, or conferences they put on are automatically approved for LEU credit. Where there is an asterisk (*) next to a provider’s name, however, only the specific courses listed are pre-approved.
- Some providers may offer programs that are shorter than 30 minutes. In order to qualify for an LEU the program must run longer than 30 minutes.
- Some providers may offer programs that are not library related. Please remember the limit on non-library related LEUs are capped at 10 per 5-year education cycle.
- To document your LEUs for attending an approved national or out-of-state conference in-person, follow the Policy on LEUs for National & Out-of-State Conferences (Effective 8/31/2013) outlined at http://continuinged.isl.in.gov/certification/policies-on-leus/.
- To document your LEUs for a virtual conference or webinar (live or archived) by an approved by provider that you view on-line, follow the Policy on LEUs for Virtual Conferences and Live & Archived Webinars (Effective 12/1/2012) outlined at http://continuinged.isl.in.gov/certification/policies-on-leus/.
- The state library in each of the United States is recognized as an approved provider. State libraries are no longer listed individually below. Any educational program provided by a state library that lasts longer than 30 minutes is eligible and approved for LEU credit. In some states the state agency that supports public libraries is called the state’s Commission for Libraries.
