The Indiana State Library is proud to offer kits to help public libraries determine if they should invest in new technology, robots or a Virtual Reality program. Kits can remain at your library for a period of up to 30 days so you can test the various components and determine what would be a good fit for your library. The kits can also be used with patrons.
The Indiana State Library has refreshed and updated our technology kits! We no longer have separate Makerspace and Robot kits – they are now combined into a new Tech Kit. We’ve kept some of the same components and added new ones. Public libraries that would like to check out the new Tech Kit just need to complete an online Moodle course before reserving the kit. This course can be taken at your own pace, is worth one TLEU and must be completed before reserving. You can find this course on the Professional Development Office’s Moodle page.
If you have any questions about the kit, or this training, feel free to contact your Regional Coordinator or the Professional Development office if you have questions.
