In this session, I will share some of my favorite tech tools and shortcuts that help maintain healthy work habits, as well as some ideas on how we can connect with our communities virtually. Presenter Pam Seabolt has over 20 years’ experience in public libraries working in various capacities, including public services, technical services, technology, outreach services, programming, department manager, and branch manager. She has served as Community Engagement Librarian with the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services (MCLS) since 2017. Through her role, Pam works with multi-type libraries across Indiana, and presents various training opportunities and meeting facilitation on topics such as technology, digital literacy, community engagement, soft skills, and customer service. Pam has extensive experience in working with staff to develop technology competencies and digital learning experiences, and has planned and implemented multiple technology projects. Pam has a Facilitation Skills and Facilitating Virtual Training Certificates from the Association for Talent Development, has been trained as a Public Innovator through the ALA/Harwood Institute’s Public Innovators Lab, and has training in Strategic Planning for Public Libraries through the University of Michigan. Pam’s educational background includes a B.S. in Child Development and Family Studies with a minor in History and a M.L.S. from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.
