TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten
In partnership with the Indiana State Library and Midwest Collaborative for Library Services, with funding from an IMLS National Leadership grant, TALK (Text & Learn for Kindergarten) is now available in Indiana. Originally developed and tested by libraries in Washtenaw County, Michigan with IMLS/LSTA funds distributed through the Library of Michigan, TALK is currently being used by many public libraries in Michigan to reach parents they might not see at library storytimes. View the webinar TALK: Text & Learn for Kindergarten to learn details about the service, the toolkits, and how you can use text messaging to help improve school readiness in your community.
The TALK program is free (grant-funded) for Indiana public libraries through 7/31/23, so this is a great chance for libraries to test it out! The program will continue beyond that date as a program manged by MCLS. View the webinar Launching TALK in Your Community for more details and estimated rates.
