Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committees are a great first step towards strategically ensuring that those facing barriers to library services in our communities are given access and opportunities. During this webinar, three different libraries will share their experiences with starting, maintaining, and moving forward with EDI committees. They’ll share what inspired them to begin, how they formed the committee, where they are now, and how they hope to keep growing in the future.

Books representing many identities and orientations are presented with an eye to presenting a fuller picture of the queer experience– and most importantly, toward the inclusion of multiple voices on each topic
LGBTQIA+ literature is not just for Pride Month! Librarians from the Indianapolis Public Library will share their top LGBTQIA+ literature picks for youth. They will introduce titles across multiple genres and age groups that can be easily incorporated into every day displays and reader’s advisory. Books from every aspect of the rainbow for parents and youth ages 12 and younger to read together or on their own will be shared.
